Jamie O’Farrell, FNP-BC 

Jamie O’Farrell is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with 20 years of nursing experience, including the past 8.5 years serving at AC Rural Health Clinic. In this role, Jamie has provided comprehensive family practice care to a diverse rural community, focusing on promoting health and managing acute and chronic conditions for all age groups. Jamie has strong ties to this community, being a lifelong member and raised on a farm East of Appleton City. Jamie attended high school in Appleton City, then received her BSN from St. Luke’s nursing school in Kansas City. After 12 years of clinical nursing, Jamie graduated from Maryville University with a master's degree in nursing, focusing on Family Medicine.  

Most recently, Jamie has taken on expanded responsibilities as both a business partner and long-term care NP, with a specialized focus on geriatric care. Jamie is passionate about meeting the complex needs of older adults, advocating for quality of life, and ensuring continuity of care in long-term settings. 

Throughout a distinguished career, Jamie has been recognized for a patient-centered approach, strong clinical acumen, and commitment to evidence-based practice. Jamie values building lasting relationships with patients and their families, and is dedicated to fostering trust, education, and empowerment in every encounter. 

Jamie continues to stay at the forefront of family and geriatric medicine through ongoing professional development and community involvement. Outside of clinical work, Jamie enjoys spending time with her family, attending/watching any type of sporting event, and being active in her kids' events. Jamie is married to her high school sweetheart, Adam; together they have three kids, Reagan, Rylee, and Liam. 

Delma Hearting, Administrator

Delma Hearting is the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for Appleton City Manor. She is a compassionate, dedicated, and result-driven professional. With over 30 years of experience in elder care, she leaves a lasting impact on her residents and staff. Delma fosters a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for all residents and staff under her care. 

Delma has been a nurse for over 40 years with experience in multiple areas including long-term care, behavioral care, and enriching the careers of other nurses by providing education and support.  Her leadership skills span over 20 years. She has led teams and facilities to achieve goals and financial success.  Delma implemented the Neighborhood Watch program and the Guardian Angel program in multiple facilities.  She has led facilities in improving quality, compliance, and staff development. She has been a Divisional & Regional Nurse for one of the largest companies in the United States and has assisted 35 facilities in 4 states in survey preparedness, compliance and staff development.  Delma has 15 years' experience in the Director of Nursing role for several facilities.  

After living away from Appleton City for much of her adult life, Delma was excited at the opportunity to come back to her hometown and collaborate with the new owners to make Appleton City Manor the premier Skilled Nursing Facility in Mid-Missouri.  Delma feels as if coming home was God’s will for her.   

Delma has 3 children and 2 grandsons that she adores and speaks of often. Her family is her greatest success.  During Delma’s career of over 4 decades, she has made her staff and residents feel like family. Encouraging and supporting them in all of life’s endeavors. Delma’s next love is her KC Chiefs; she enjoys treating people to the games for the first time and watching them enjoy it as much as she does. Her sharing heart and nurturing nature are a blessing to Appleton City Manor, the staff that work there and the residents that live there. In Delma’s words “We are a Family”. three kids, Reagan, Rylee, and Liam. 

Amanda Oexman RN

Amanda Oexman RN has been in the healthcare field since she was 18 years old. She started her career in caring during High School when she went to the Tech School in Harrisonville to earn her EMT/FFI & II certificates. Amanda then obtained her CNA in 2012. She worked as a CNA/Tech in the ER from 2013-2017. She then made the choice to further her career and attend RN school at KCKCC where she graduated in 2019. Amanda started as an RN in a stroke and brain neuro unit working for two years, gaining valuable knowledge and making lasting friendships. She then moved on to a challenging new DON role in 2024.  

She took on the challenge of becoming Director of Nursing in 2024 and that is where her love for Skilled Nursing and Long-term care began. She started as DON at Appleton City Manor and made the decision to call the Manor her home away from home. Amanda is known for jumping on the floor and working alongside her Nurses, CNA’s and CMT’s. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and hardworking. You can always count on Amanda’s constant positive attitude and encouragement toward her coworkers.  

Amanda has been married to her husband, Kyle, since 2013. They live on a farm in a beautiful home with their two children, Jaxon (11) and Jenna (5). Her family loves farm life and has many animals including horses, chickens, dogs, cows, and a donkey. Amanda loves spending time with her family and hunting. She continues to support her local community as a Cheer Coach for Appleton City High School where she bonds with the youth she is mentoring.  

Appleton City Manor has taught Amanda many things about long-term and skilled care. She has shared her knowledge of strokes, emergency care, and bedside manner with her teammates. Amanda is well-respected and successful as a crucial part of the Appleton City Manor family.
